Q

Where can I find journal that discuss the SEVERLY EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED and two year college education?

I am trying to find sources to support a grant proposal for two year college for students that are considered severly emotionally disturbed. I have used ERIC and EBSCO but I am told there are no results. Is there a better way I can arrange my search question to get better results.

Answer

Hello,

I too looked in ERIC and I found that they do not use the term "severely emotionally disturbed." They use the term "emotional disturbances." But adding "two year colleges" yields no results as you said. However, I found one article in the SAGE Premier journal collection using the term severely emotionally disturbed." That article is attached. Please respond to me directly at leakca@wssu.edu if that article is helpful. If so, I will help you look for more like it.

If you prefer ERIC or other EBSCO databases you may want to try "emotional disturbances" AND adults. Another may be "emotional disturbances" AND "college students." I will try these as well but in the meantime look at the attached article and let me know if we are on the right track. If you can't open the articles then respond and let me know.

I want to make sure you get this so you will receive the same email from my work email.
