*DURING COVID, the following applies, until further notice:*
physical books cannot be checked out of the library. After searching the catalog (https://wssu.summon.serialssolutions.com/?#!/search?pn=1&ho=t&l=en), you can limit your search to eBooks. If a physical book is needed, an Inter-Library Loan (http://oklibrary.wssu.edu/screens/ill.html) request can be made, and the library will work with you to get you the needed content. For more information you can contact the library at reference@wssu.edu or your library liaison (https://www.wssu.edu/academics/cg-okelly-library/faculty-services/index.html).

The following is in regards to normal operating procedure:

Search the library catalog for books in the library.  If you need assistance finding or evaluating books results, ask a librarian.

To find a specific book, you must first look it up in the Catalog to see if we have it and if it is available. The Catalog will give you information on the book's location, call number & status.

Location
You need to take note of where the book is located. There are 10 different locations within the 3 floors of the library. STACKS means the book is in the library's circulating collection, and could be on any of the 3 floors.

Call Number
You need to write down the entire call number.  For example, PN1995.9.U64 H65 2003. The call number represents the specific address of a book on the shelf.

Status
You need to make sure the status is Available (if it is checked out you will see a due date).
